Phone Data Transfer FAQ

Can you transfer data from an iPhone to an Android?

Yes! I can pull data off an iPhone and move it to your new Android phone. Cross-platform transfers are trickier but I handle them regularly. Most data transfers smoothly; some app-specific data may not transfer between platforms. (I don't set up or service iPhones, but I can transfer data off them.)

Will I lose my text messages?

For Android-to-Android transfers, messages usually transfer completely. Cross-platform message transfer (iPhone to Android) is more limited, but I'll get as much moved over as possible.

Can you transfer photos from a broken phone?

If the phone powers on and can connect to a computer or WiFi, I can usually recover photos. If the screen is completely dead, it depends on the phone model.

How much does phone data transfer cost?

$10 up-front diagnostic (waived if you proceed with the work), $50/hr (1-hour minimum). Most transfers take about an hour.
